apple music "student email in use with other account"

every time I try login in and paying the $5 student payment and it says my email is in use with another account and won't let me disconnect it or anything. so confused!!!!

iPhone 6, iOS 10.2.1

I see that every time you try to log in with your Apple Music Student Membership, you receive a message that says your email is in use with another account. I'm happy to assist you with this.
