Hi, I have a 4th gen 60GB video ipod. I have about 1100 songs on my itune, about 4.2MB each in size on average. The "library" screen of my itune shows that the 1100 songs are collectively about 5.6 GB (which seems about right, based on the 4 MB per 4 minutes song suggested by Apple). HOWEVER, when i imported the 1100 songs into my ipod, the "my ipod" screen of the itune states that my ipod has 10GB space filled with the 1100 songs while its library screen states that the same 1100 songs take up 5.6 GB. (my ipod itself shows the same figures as those shown in the "my ipod" screen instead of the library screen)
First off, which of the representations is true? And secondly, if the 1100 songs DO actually take up 10GB, then, that would mean my 60GB ipod can only hold up to 6000 songs, not 15000 songs as advertised?? Why is this the case? If anyone knows anything about any related issues, please please let me know! Thanks in advance.
