I have picked up a nasty bug - what ransom ware is good for iMac?

I have picked up a VERY annoying bug from a site that I was directed to , and the glitch means that the computers sound is disabled. I have no idea how to re-instate it and wonder is there some ransom ware that will help clean it?

iMac (21.5-inch Mid 2011), Mac OS X (10.7.5)

You do not want ransom ware. It is actually malware that will usually encrypt your disk drive and then claim they will give you the key to unlock it after you pay the ransom.
