powerbeats 3 - solid white light

Had the PowerBeats 3 for a couple weeks, and have loved them. On a work trip, got up, disconnected from power source (unplugged from micro-USB) and the white light is still on (solid, no blinking.) Attempted reset (power and volume down button 10s, and tried it much longer...and other button combos because why not) with no luck. Tried connecting and disconnecting power, white light is always on...won't connect (can't be found) by any device (iPhone7 or Apple Watch.) Any suggestions other than returning to Apple?

While I get the meaning of the lights, the headphones were non-responsive. Pressing the button didn't do anything. I couldn't re-pair, they wouldn't connect, no audio feedback or connection to devices that had been working for the last couple weeks (the headphones are pretty new to me overall.) During the day, the battery died, and in recharging them, they seem to be able to re-pair and playback audio from my phone and watch...but there was nothing I could do with them until this happened. Will check them after they charge fully, but I've never had such a problem with BT devices.

Hello tcbBreck,
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

I understand from your post that the white light will not turn off after unplugging from the power source. The following article explains what each of the LED lights indicates:

Set up and use your Powerbeats3 Wireless Earphones

Charge

Plug your earphones into a power source using the included micro USB cable. Your earphones provide up to 12 hours of playback from a full charge, and up to 1 hour of playback from a 5-minute charge.

When your earphones are turned on and set up, the LED indicator light on the left earphone shows how much listening time is left:

  • White: Up to 12 hours left
  • Red: Less than an hour left
  • Blinking red: Needs to charge
Best Regards.

After charging for a couple hours, I unplugged from micro-USB, and the light remained solid red. They don't respond to any buttons, don't connect to watch or phone...seem to be of no use at this time. It almost seems as if there is a battery issue that causes them to lock up when they're near or fully charged (the previous tests were done with a charge of about 35% according to my iPhone...but I have no idea what % of a charge they're currently holding as they won't connect to any devices.)
