How do I find a news story if I miss the alert?

A news story came up on my alert bar on my iPad but when I clicked on it my iPad wasn't connected to the internet initially (it is now) and the story didn't come up. I now cannot find the news story on the news app (it's not a headline under "For you"), if I search for a keyword from the headline ("Harvard") it brings up Harvard Business Review and not stories with that in the headline and lastly I don't know how to bring up the alert bar again so I can find the story that way.

Any ideas?

Hello GSW1,

Thanks for asking the Apple Support Communities about your missed news article. I would like to see if you are able to find it in your history. Since you clicked on the article, even though it was not online, it should have the title or link at least saved in the history. To check, look under Saved, then the History tab at the top.

I also would like to provide an option to help you save things to read later. This article talks about the News app on your iOS devices: Use News on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch . There is a section titled "Love, save, or share a story" to help you save, mark something as an article you love, or to allow you to share it.

Thanks again and have a great evening.
