I can't remember my Ipad password

I have tried and tried to remember my password as it was changed quite urgently. Unfortunately, I think it was synced with my ex bf's Imac but i'm not 100% sure, but I'm pretty sure I never synced it to itunes on my parents computer. (we are talking about 6 years ago). I couldn't believe it when I found I still have the original box, but I don't think this helps at all, when it comes to being able to get in the Ipad, or Apple helping me out 😟 I have my Ipad, on my find my iphone app, but it appears to be offline, so don't think theres much I can do there. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do please?! I'm in desperate need to get photos off there.

If it's the iPad's passcode that you've forgotten (if you have, it's too late to copy anything off or take a new backup) : If you forgot the passcode for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, or your device is disabled - Apple Support

You can only force a new iCloud backup if you can remember the passcode so that you can access Settings > iCloud on it. But if you already had backing up to the cloud enabled on it you might be able to get the iPad online by swiping up from the bottom edge of the iPad and opening Control Centre (depending upon the iPad's iOS version and whether Control Centre has access enabled on the lock screen), that might let you turn wifi on so that it can connect it to your wifi network - if you can, and if the iPad is plugged in to power, it should take a backup (though it might not be immediate, depending upon when the last backup was)
