I need a rugged case for MacBook Pro model 1398

I purchased an Apple hard case for my new MacBook pro last year and it immediately bent at one corner. They sent me a replacement case at no charge, Thanks Apple! However, the second one split too.

I have now dropped my Mac TWICE and I am usually very careful, it's in a thin zippered laptop case (old); in looking at a rugged one on other websites, I can't find one that seems to be rugged with good reviews. The Thule looks like a good one, with rubber encasing to protect corners which is what happened to me within 4 mos. The plastic case it was in, slippery, slid off my lap (barely a foot off the floor), carpeted flooring, and yet bent a wire in the monitor, rendering it useless. My employer replaced it but if it happens again, I will pay for it.

I usually carry it in a zippered, padded nylon case, then put it in my rolling case which also has a padded protective case. I'm just very anxious because it is made so slim, thin, unlike my previous heavy duty HP, that I do not want to risk damaging. I do not want another plastic, hard case since those are slick too.

Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks, TW
