How to set priority to WiFi connections on iOS?

We need a new option, to set priorities/favorites etc.,

I have XFinity ISP at home, so, they let me use WiFi hotspots all over the nation, but If I "forget the network" info. I have to enter password again. Here is the problem.

Xfinity Hotspot is slow, compared to my in home network, which is 90+ Mbps.

Now, when I park my car and come home, my iOS already connects to Xfinity, right outside my house, but after entering my home, it doesn't switch to a better network(my home network), neither turning off/on from control center lets me connect to my home network even, I have to go to settings and do it manually.

Not a big problem, until I want to use my cell phone as a remote for my Samsung smart tv, Chrome Cast and Google Home, which needs to be in the same network.

Please fix it, people complained for over 4 years already.

Happens same with the Mac, but, I don't take my laptop out of my house.

Thanks.

iPhone 6s Plus, iOS 10.2

I Assume you mean you have to re-enter your own WiFi password because you don't need a password to connect to the Xfinity Hotspots,

I also run into the same problem that you are describing on very rare ocassion. Once in a blue moon either my iPad or my iPhone try to connect to one of the WiFi hotspots when I get home.

Apple doesn't participate here. Offer feedback.

Actually, once password entered and register my device on Xfinity's website, until I stop the connection/service, I can use their hotspots, where ever available.

But, it gets connected to that hotspot, right outside my house, while entering my home, which annoys me...

Thanks, I left the feedback, 3 yrs ago, and gave it again, today.

Not sure what you think is happening but you do need a password to log into the Xfinity hotspot because if you're not an Xfinity customer you do not get access to the Xfinity hotspot if you login to the hotspot anywhere at any hotspot with your Xfinity login then you can connect to any Xfinity hotspot wherever you go but if you choose in your phone to forget the Xfinity hotspot then the next time you want to join the Xfinity hotspot you must put in your account login again I've had to do this many times because I am having the same issue when I get home and it connects to the wrong network but when I'm out and about it's helpful to have the Xfinity login so every day I have to forget Xfinity when I get home and then re-login when I get out in the world.

I need to enter/register Xfinity pwddetails only once, until I "forget" the network.

My problem is, If A, B, B-5Ghz* wireless networks are available; I need the device to connect++ directly to B on iOSdevices and B-5Ghz on MBP, as soon as they are available.

A will be connected automatically, once I step outside my Home network area.

Hope this helps you understand the Question.

++ This is what I'm talking about "Priority"/"Favorites".

*A is hotspot; B and B-5Ghz are my home networks.

I realize that you have to enter your credentials the first time or you cannot use the service. I don't forget the network, I just manually select my own home WiFi network on the rare occasions when that happens.
