MacBook: Can't drag & drop!

New MacBook that can't drag & drop anything. I can't move things on the desktop, drag anything into a folder, change my toolbar, drag files into an upload area on a web page, drag things to the trash...

If you should be able to drag & drop something, my computer isn't do it. It was a Christmas present so is still pretty new & I already restored it to factory settings, etc. I just haven't gotten around to asking this question yet. Info on machine included below. Thanks in advance!
