Apple Watch Activity - Standing - what do the different colors mean?

I have just started using my apple watch. The standing section seems to be the most inconsistent, as it seems to think I'm standing when I'm sleeping...other times it doesn't recognize when I do.

My biggest question is what do the different colors mean? Obviously a blue bar means that I stood during that hour, but then there is a light blue and then other times it is black?

Thanks in advance!

Hi

It can be normal for Stand credit to be awarded if your arm moves during night in such a way that your watch believes you have stood up and moved around for at least a minute.

However, some other users have also reported that, since updating to the latest version of watchOS, their watches have incorrectly awarded Stand credits across multiple hours when sleeping, which did not previously occur.

You may wish to contact Apple Support for assistance:

Or to send feedback to Apple (typically a one-way communication process):

The black bars in the Stand chart indicate hours during which the watch was not being worn. Light blue indicates when the watch was worn, but no Stand credit was earned.
