Need legacy iMovie for OS X Lion 10.7.5

Others have asked, but no good answers. Maybe now someone knows.

I have:

MacBook Air

13-inch, Mid 2011

Processor 1.7 GHz Intel Core i5

Memory 4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3

Graphics Intel HD Graphics 3000 384 MB

Serial Number C02GC0CNDJWQ

Software Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5 (11G63)

I guess the previous owner got rid of imovie. Time machine is not set up so nothing there.

I am fine with updating the OS if necessary but not sure if it is possible with this hardware. Perhaps someone knows that as well.

You need an iLife '11 install DVD. They are not available from Apple but are for sale from Amazon. This probably the best option if you are used to iMovie '11(which is version 9) and have existing projects or want to use iDVD.

If you are new to iMovie you should consider updating your OS to Mavericks or later so you can use the more up to date iMovie version 10 from the App store (which is cheaper than Llife'11). It can update existing iMovie '11 projects but is very different from earlier versions.

You don't have a very powerful Mac so don't expect a very snappy performance.

Geoff.
