Can I lock my Apple TV remote to prevent pocket punches, just like lock button for iPhone ?
This should be an option!
This should be an option!
It would require one to press down on the touchpad or buttons on the remote in order for the Tv to turn on. There is no lock for the remote, same as any other.
Of course phones and laptops and phones have that capability, but this is neither and those few remotes that do offer it would be much more costly.
As evidenced by the amount of reports (and I have only seen one other thread) it is not something impacting most users. Never said it was some wild idea, and you are free to give feedback directly to Apple, but it would require an update to the remote and not likely something to happen given the above.
There are many touch remotes out there that offer lock features for this very reason. Just like that Apple phone you're typing on now.
I don't have a apple computer but my asus laptop touch pad can be locked.
This is not some weird idea.
Well if your about the house cleaning or having guests over it's nice to have in your pocket. It does lose itself easily and in many situations.
However, the buttons do get pressed. My cat has even walked over it while it rested on the couch.
A temporary lock is something that could prove useful.
you don't have a pocket? this definitely should be a option
I don't put remotes in my pocket and not sure of the purpose for doing so
Your probably to busy playing pool
I really don't know what you're on about, please cease from responding
I would love this, the remote is so sensitive it will turn on our tv in the middle of the night. I also know how to use my pockets
Regardless of sensitivity this is A touchpad and Im constantly nudging it causing the tv to come on or appletv to work. How do you lock the remote?😠
Yes it is true, simply gliding your finger on the trackpad does not wake the device. That requires actually pressing one of the buttons or clicking down on the trackpad.
Touchè but The newer 🍎 TV Remote's Finger Response area is extremely sensitive (even on the lowest setting) and much easier to click than any other remote I've ever come across.
If it was possible to just lock that area of the remote It would be extremely beneficial....
At least to me 🤓
No. Not sure why the remote would be in your pocket
That would apply to any remote
You can adjust the sensitivity via the settings. The remote will not turn on the TV on its own, that would be due to network activity.
