I have garageband on my ipad and iphone but how do i get the new update for garageband with the Alchemy synth
when I go on apple shop the new garageband is here and it says "open" but I cannot have the new update ,only the older version.

Try deleting the app, and redownloading it. It should automatically download with the with the latest version unless you are jailbroken a la 'App Admin' and have some weird setting on to disable updates. You might also just have an older device that Apple stopped supporting for Garage Band in which case there is not much you can do except perhaps find an apk online and download it, but those rarely work well and often are malicious.
