Exclamation point in WiFi symbol

My iMac (sierra) will not connect to the internet. There is an exclamation point in the wifi icon and when i go into preferences i see that it is setting its own IP address. There are other Macs in the house that connect with no problem - I have tried a whole bunch of remedies, including a complete factory fresh re-install but nothing works

PLEASE HELP!!!
