why this loading icon does not go off my desktop
i am unable to figure out why my desktop has this weird looking loading icon always spinning in the middle of my screen? is there anything i can do to stop it?

You could try & see if the computer would start up and go past that screen
by using Safe mode. If that works to get into the running Mac system, you
may be able to check settings to see the Macintosh HD is set as startup.

A world icon implies 'network disc' and it cannot find local system on HDD.
If a spinning wheel icon is there, that may imply your Mac cannot find HDD.
The system may be corrupt or the hard drive may be going bad.

only guess. There are several icons; some may move, while others not.
Also, you may troubleshoot startup issues by trying to get Recovery mode
