Safari freezes when quitting the browser

Running Sierra 10.12.3 and all of sudden every time I close my safari program it freezes. I need to force quit it in order to close the program. How does one fix?

MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2014), macOS Sierra (10.12.3)

Safari won’t quit? Needs to Force Quit always?

Backup your Mac.

Force Quit Safari.

Close all windows and quit all applications.

Hold "option" key down and click "Go" menu in the Finder menu bar.

Library will appear between “Home” and “Computer” entries in the dropdown.

Select "Library" from the dropdown.

Click the “List” view button in the Finder toolbar.

Move these files to trash and test.

1. Click open the Caches folder and scroll down the list.

User uploaded file

Click open the com.apple.Safari folder.

You should see the Caches.db file.

User uploaded file

Right click on it and choose “Move to Trash”.

2. Scroll down the lis, click open the Safari folder and select History files.

User uploaded file

Right click on it and choose “Move to Trash”.

3. Scroll down the list and click open the Saved Application State folder.

User uploaded file

You should see the com.apple Safari.savedState folder.

User uploaded file

Right click on it and choose “Move to Trash”.

Close Finder window.

Restart and relaunch Safari.

Test.

Hello,

The answer does not work for me because I do not have the folder com.apple.Safari in my Cache folder. On top of that, even the Library does not appear in the Go menu.

My Safari freezer all the time and Force Quit does not even work. I have to shut down by holding the power button. It is a mess. Computer is very clean etc. Just Safari is screwed up. Any thoughts? Macbook Pro Retina late 2013 2.6ghz i5 El Capitan 10.11.6
