Itunes on new iPhone

Hi again, guys!

I have got a new iPhone SE and set up as a new phone (as my mac was out of action at the time). I re-downloaded my (only) purchased iTunes library from iTunes directly, which is all good.

However, now- my Mac is working again and I would like to download my full iTunes library (including non-purchased items from iTunes) to my new phone. Is there any way I can do this without starting from scratch i.e. back-up from iTunes?

Thanks

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

First, your profile indicates you are using OS X 10.6.8. If this is still correct, you will not be able to communicate to an iOS 10 device using iTunes. To communicate to iOS 10, you need at least iTunes 12.5.2, which requires OS X 10.9.5 or later.

If your iPhone can communicate to iTunes, here is how to accomplish your goal:

  • Plug your iPhone into your Mac's iTunes.
  • Go to the iPhone's Music tab on the left. Be certain you are syncing your entire music library as shown here: User uploaded file
  • Click "Apply" in the lower right.
