bit of a newbie at building websites so which is easier?

They are both very easy to use. I would say that
RapidWeaver probably offers a richer selection of
features and templates/themes. The reason for this
is the more open nature of RapidWeaver...it's just
more inviting for 3rd party developers to get on
board and customize things.
Keep in mind that I have used iWeb pretty much from
Day One, and even I am thinking long and hard about
developing my website with RapidWeaver going forward.
Each program has plusses and minuses... iWeb has
been excellent for me coming from zero HTML
experience, especially with such a supportive forum
here. RapidWeaver is looking like the next logical
step up for me. I'm sure that I could have started
with RapidWeaver from the beginning, too, and been
just as happy, but it really did take iWeb as an
Apple product to get me hooked in.
I want to insert a Google Map into it but it wont
work.
Do you know if that is something which would be easy
to do in Rapidweaver?
