Wired DHCP clients (Sierra and Utility Airport 6.3.7)

I'm trying to set up a network, the AirPort Utility 6.3 shows me wireless clients when I click with the option key, but not the clients connected with DHCP wired. Any idea how to find the IP addresses for wired devices?

Apple does not think that you need to know what IP addresses might be assigned to wired clients.....but they will allow you to set up a Reserved IP address for a wired client......so you will know what IP address will always be assigned to a given wired device. This assumes of course that you have the AirPort set up as a router for the network.

If you don't want to set up a Reserved IP address for each wired client, then you will need a utility like iNet Network Scanner for Mac to see the changing IP addresses of wired clients. If you have an iPhone or iPad, you can use a free utility like Fing to see more information about wired clients on the network.

Not sure what you are trying to say. It is an easy task to assign a permanent, reserved IP address to any wired client if you know the Ethernet ID or MAC Address of the client......assuming that you have an AirPort router and it is configured to act as a router on the network.

In other words, if the Airport is set up to operate in Bridge Mode, then it is not the device that is assigning IP addresses for your network. Another device, a modem/router or gateway is assigning the network IP addresses in that case.

You will need to assign a reserved IP address that is above the normal range of IP addresses. In other words, if your devices are all receiving IP addresses in the 10.0.1.2 to 10.0.1.10 range, then you would want to assign a reserved IP address of 10.0.1.20 for a wired device. Another wired device might be assigned 10.0.1.25, another 10.0.1.30, etc.
