Recording Dry, Mixing Wet

I fairly new to garageband (about two hours total playing with it), but is it possible with the software to record tracks dry with no effect, and add them during mixdown? I've figured out how to make my reocorded acoustic guitar sound like a trumpet or a dirty british guitar (which is quite interesting), but for the life of me I can't figure out how to add a little reverb or delay after it's been tracked. Thanks for the help.

Actually, after I asked this question when re-reading I realized I kinda answered my own question. I realized I can change the effect just as easy as I was changing instruments. I've used all kind of means to record my bands songs as of the past three years (4 track cassette, striaght to cd, cubase, we've tracked in a pro-tools studio...yada yada), but I have to say recording with this program thus far is so easy and intuitive, I can't wait to see what we can come up with on our own. Thanks again.
