FCP 7 won't accept my serial number

I haven't used FCP 7 for a while - I then used it on Saturday, but only after re-entering my serial number, name, company etc. Today, its doing the same thing - I know I have a figure or digit wrong somewhere, and thought I'd corrected it, but it refuses to accept the input. How do I go about getting the CORRECT serial from APPLE please>?

It would help to know why your serial was requested. That's usually the result of attempting to reinstall the software or a massive rebuild of the machine. Thee's no other reason for your OS to request the serial.

The only source for that serial number is the sticker on the box. You got at least four copies of that sticker when you purchased FC Studio. Hopefully you have the box or the manual and you can locate the serial number. If you do not have a record or can find it, I know of no other way to recover that number. Apple does not have it.

Hi David, I have not used FCP7 for about two years and wanted to do so again. It will not allow me to. None of the FCP Studio Apps will open. There is a grey box that appears asking for my names, company, and registration number. I had the number written down in one of the manuals, but apparently I have got a digit or character wrong, so I can't get into any of the Apps. I do find it hard to believe that Apple wouldn't keep this info, since I registered the product after running it in the beginning.

Thanks for your help...
