Input method switching failed

Hello Apple Developers,

Input Method switching seems buggy in macOS 10.12.3. It is frequent that when I press Control + Space to switch input source, the icon on the menu bar is changed, but the input source is not changed at all.

For example, I am using Simplified Chinese Pinyin input method and I press Control + Space to switch, then icon on Menu Bar switches to America English, but when I type a word I am still using Simplified Chinese Pinyin. Vice versa.

This is very annoying so can you fix this?

iPhone 6, iOS 10.1.1, also on iPad Air and rMBP 13 (2015)

I think input method problem is a long long time problem with mac OS. 'Remember input source for each document' option never works correctly ever. Don't Apple test these functions before release macOS?

So you followed the earlier suggestion regarding Siri, and it is still off with no keyboard shortcut?

If you use Caps Lock to switch keyboards (this is activated in system prefs/keyboard/input sources by checking a box at the bottom), do you have the same problem?
