iPhone 7 plus home button question.

Ok so I've got the iPhone 7 plus.

I Understand the haptic button and adjustable three stage sensitivity, also the click speed adjustments.

The thing is if i press lightly I get a soft vibrate and if I press firmly I get a harder vibrate, but I cant find anywhere that says the home button does this so thought I'd ask.

It's very easily noticeable and wondered if this is the same on all iPhone 7 home buttons or an issue.

Thanks.

I have a iPhone 7 Plus and only after your post have a now noticed the same thing.

I do not get it to happen every time but some times a light press will result in a lighter click than if i press hard and get the harder full strength click, as i have the iPhone 7 Plus Home button set to number 3 click.

So i do not think it is any thing to worry about.

But if you are concerned or it gets worse you could contact Apple Support.

Included below is the Apple Support document for the iPhone 7/7 Plus Home button.

Yeah exactly the same as i am testing it just on the Home screen with single clicks a second or so apart and sometimes if lightly pressed and quicker i get the softer click than if i press slow and hard.

I guess it is some part of the sensor within the button that can recognise the amount of pressure and the rate of speed which the Home button is pressed at.?

Interesting to learn something new about my iPhone 7 Plus today.
