iphone7 navigation stops working

When using navigation (several different maps), the phone just stops. If I stop the navigation and restart, the phone recognizes that I have moved and will restart the directions. But, after a couple of minutes, it stops again.

On a recent trip with my spouse, his iPhone 6 worked perfectly. So, two phones in the same location with same provide (AT&T), his worked and mine did not.

I tried rebooting with the same problem.

Any suggestions?
