Transfer my iPhone content to a new iTunes account

My iPhone backup is linked to my partners iTunes account. I am buying a new iPhone and want to set up a new iTunes account for myself but transfer all of my current iPhones content relating to my partners iTunes account to my own new personal iTunes. Please could anyone tell me how I can do this without loosing my current iPhone's app's, photo's, contacts etc?

iPhone 6, iOS 10.2.1

See About backups for iOS devices - Apple Support for some details about what is included. I'd recommend you also Import photos and videos from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support and copy them to a separate location rather than relying on the device backup.

The backup isn't really connected to whichever Apple ID is in use at the time, however protected content can only be transferred to or from a device if the computer is authorized for the particular Apple ID used for each purchase. It may be easiest to backup the current state of your device, restore that backup to your new one, then go through the steps of changing which Apple ID the device is signed into for the iTunes and App Stores, iCloud etc. on the device afterwards.
