My Apple Watch recognizes my Bluetooth headphones but will not pair. What am I doing wrong?

I have a Apple Watch series 2 that I cannot get my Bluetooth headphones paired with. The headphones are JBL Reflect Mini BT. The Watch will recognize the headphones and list them but it says "not paired" below. Will alert me to make sure the headphones are in range and sync mode, which they are. What steps am I missing? Same headphones pair fine with iPhone 6 with no issues.

I have been trying for weeks to pair my apple watch2 to several different bluetooth speakers and a bluetooth earbud. I tried most of the suggestions listed hear and elsewhere. I always got a message indicating I should either move the bluetooth speaker or earbuds closer to the apple watch or make sure it was turned on in discoverable mode.

I finally found an answer:

Without deleting anything, un-pairing anything or doing any of the many other suggestions.

I put my apple watch in airplane mode by swiping up on the apple watch screen and selecting the airplane icon.

I then started the bluetooth device in discoverable mode, then on the apple watch went to setttings>bluetooth and turned on the bluetooth.

When the bluetooth device appeared on the apple phone bluetooth screen I selected it and voila it paired.

I then took the apple watch off airplane mode. It then paired w/o putting the apple watch in airplane mode..

This method worked with all of my bluetooth devices.

I hope this helps others..

Hi

The following steps may help, having previously resolved the same issue for some other users:

Unpair your earphones from your iPhone or any other device that they may already be paired with.

Restart your Apple Watch:

Check that you are following both the manufacturer's pairing instructions for your earphones and Apple's instructions:

Try moving your Apple Watch and earphones to a different location, further away from any other active Bluetooth devices.

Hello

The main reason I bought the apple watch 2 was due to the option to listening to music directly from the watch. But like others it will not pair to my beats headphones. I took it to an apple store this past weekend where the tec did a hard restart to the music app. Great it worked, for a hot second. So I'm I going to have to restart my watch every day to connect my headphones? To add to the pain once connect I loose the signal 2 or 3 times before it finally stays connected.

Is this my only option?
