Can't quit Whatsapp desktop fullscreen

Try Eric Root's suggestion.

Or push the cursor to the top of the screen, the menu should drop down, and the "View" menu should have Exit Full Screen

Also labeled as Control-Command-F

I've been having this problem for 2 weeks since maximising and I was about to re-install Whatsapp. I thought I had tried everything. Can't believe the fix was so simple in the end. Thanks for your solution!
