BBC iPlayer app quality (UK)

Interested to know how others find the quality.

I've been watching Taboo on catchup, and many of the scenes are very dark.

The amount of banding/pixellation is awful (fiddled with HDMI settings too), and reminiscent of poor quality iTunes encodings from several years ago.

I'm connected via ethernet and getting very good downstream speeds (65 Mbps+) using the Speedtest app, so don't think that's the issue.

I seem to recall you could set iPlayer quality years ago, but can't find anything similar in the app or Settings.
