Issues with Korg Triton taktile

I just got a Korg Triton taktile and I've run in to some issues getting it to interface with Logic X. I've tried installing the control surface plugin and usb-midi driver. The problem is it just doesn't show up in Logic at all. There are no new files in my plugin folders and in the Applications folder there's just a couple of pdf files. I've tried installing it with the device connected, disconnected, logic open and closed etc, but nothing happens. Rebooted, tried again several times. macOS recognizes the device though, and I can use it as a controller on other plugins, just not as an external instrument (which is most of the reason why I got it in the first place). Am I just missing something very basic here or have any of you had this issue?
