share macbook wifi connection to iPhone

Hello,

I am trying to this for a while without success. I am in a place where I can get a wifi connection on my MacBook Pro, but on the iPhone I just can't.

So is there a way to send the wifi connection that I am using on my MacBook Pro to the iPhone using USB or Bluetooth? I tried them both without success.

To try the USB option I went to "system preferences" "sharing" then on "share your connection from" I set "wifi". Then "to computer using", I set "Iphone USB". Then I clicked "Internet sharing" on the left and a green light appeared on "Internet Sharing: on", but the iPhone simply doesn't get the connection

To try the bluetooth option I went to "system preferences" "sharing" then on "share your connection from" I set "wifi". Then "to computer using", I set "Bluetooth PAN". Then I clicked "Internet sharing" on the left and a green light appeared on "Internet Sharing: on". After that I tried to pair them over bluetooth but I simply can't, the macbook don't even show up on the iPhone as a device to connect. The iPhone shows up on the Mac, but when I tried to pair them, but the connection is immediately lost.

What Am I doing wrong?

By the way, I was going to upload 2 screenshots but the picture button in grey, what happened?

MacBook Pro with Retina display, macOS Sierra (10.12)

I suggest going after the fundamental issue: Why can the iPhone not get a Wi-Fi connection?

What happens when you try? Have you done Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings on the iPhone?

Forget about sending Wi-Fi from the Mac. Let the iPhone find the Wi-Fi that is already present.

I don't know why the iPhone can't get the connection. I have just tried reset network settings but stills the same thing. I think that the wifi signal is weak where I am and the MacBook Pro antena is better, because it can "see" a lot more networks than the iPhone.

Why forget about sending the signal from Mac to iPhone. Isn't this possible?
