I don' t see the files. However, when I open Vic to look at a clip it says learn more. Learn more is the link. When I click on it it discusses connecting the iPad to the computer and file sharing.

I have tried just deleting the whole app and then reinstalling and it worked after several tries. Instead of deleting each individual clip from the app, I delete the entire app. Although. the files still need to be deleted from somewhere

HI Diana

these videos are coming from webcams. The video clips are downloaded to my email account . I then open them . They are avi files .The are downloaded and then I usw the vlc media player to open them on the ipad2. I attempted to go to all files in the vlc media player but it just goes back delete media library. I'm not syncing the files from my computer. i also read some other post that says go to iTunes. I have a iTunes Store app; however, I can only search for apps. It doesn't show file sharing or neither does it have a way to delete apps. I kindly thank you for you help. do you know what I need to do now.

yes the video clips are email attachments and yes I do open them using the box with the arrow on it ( the sharing icon . next the vlc media player opens and the clip appears . I then tap it and it plays a 15 sec video clip. The clips are not in all files. The clips are in the media player when it opens. However, after I look at the clip I hit the delete button at the bottom left and the clips go to the media library.

i don't know what jailbroken means? Can you explain it?

Are you sure the videos are stored on the iPad at all? VLC is pretty smart about streaming from URLs on the internet. It may be just streaming direct from the cameras. Or, if the actual video files are in the email, VLC may be playing them but not saving them. Since the files do not appear in All Files, and deleting the app does not remove them, they may not be stored at all.

I don't think the videos are stored on the iPad. can you please explain to me about VLC steaming from the internet . what does that mean in laymen terms. It may be possible that VLC is saving them because every time I try to delete a clip it says empty media library. After attempting to delete the clip, a link pops up in vlc that says learn more. when I click on that link it talks about connecting the iPad to the computer. I did that. The computer then says something about unzipping the files. But I don't think doing this will empty the library.

If the files are not stored why does it say empty media library?

VLC can stream video from an internet server the same way you view a video in the browser or in YouTube.

VLC can store videos locally, so if there are no files stored, it will say the library is empty. Could you post the link that VLC provides when you tap on learn more?

Since you do not see the videos in All Files, can you please describe how you are trying to delete them? Where do you see them in the VLC menu?
