I need help in bringing text along with MathType (advanced version of Microsoft Equation Editor) content into Basic Title of FCP X

I need help in bringing the text along with MathType content from Microsoft Word files into Basic Title of FCP X.

Long back, I discussed about this. I tried and didn't succeed. Now, is there any possibility?

Already I have made thousands of pages with Mathtype in Microsoft Word Files. So I am not in a position to type again in some other new format. I need to use the existing typed matter of Word file.

It would be a great help in completing my video project. I am ready to pay to anyone who is ready to spend time and make it happen.

Help would be highly appreciated.

Thanking you in anticipation.

MathType is a software application created by Design Science that allows the creation of mathematical notation for inclusion in desktop and web applications. It is an advanced version of Microsoft Equation Editor

Export the text/formulas to a separate image and import. You can either edit the image to make the background transparent, or work with the blend mode options in FCP X.

I can understand how you do not want to have to redo these, but you'd almost certainly get better results by using LaTeXit. It can directly export to a transparent png (or pdf, but I'd go with the bitmapped png at a big enough resolution).

I remember that discussion.

You are still trying to meld incompatible elements. Rather like oil and water, they cannot be made to come together naturally. Where you needed to start was with your release media requirements and then work backwards, evaluating the tools you would need to accomplish the goals of your many movies. That would have meant examining graphics compositors, Windows-to-Mac file conversion applications, and understanding how video works. Usually best to hire someone to do that if your field of expertise is not pixels but rather advanced mathematics,

I believe we tried to steer you toward screen capture utilities for use on your PC. That would at least create a workable movie file of your equations as they appear in your applications. If you do the captures properly, you can create nice video-style graphics with shadows and borders by using a luma keyer and filters. I think we also recommended spending time on the user forums for your math app. Somebody has already attempted this operation; they either succeeded and will share their procedures or they failed miserably and can wave you off.

Luis, nic. That is the formula for sourdough bread, I believe.

Did you type that into FCPX using the Latexit typeface or did you pull the formula from a Word document that originated on a PC?

I don't remember all the details from the earlier discussion (and I'm not going to look for it) but there were valid reasons the OP could not or would not transfer his previously created files from his PC to the Macintosh. There may have been animation involved, too, I don't recall. Copy and paste wasn't an option then. Exporting as some kind of markup language apparently didn't work back then, either.

Does running Parallels on the Mac allow cutting pasting between Windows apps and the MacOX?

David,

It typed it in LaTeXit, exported as png and imported it into FCP X. All done in the mac.

I did it by typing the actual code, but there is a pallete of visual aids so you click in or drap and drop symbols, if one is not much versed in LaTeX writing.

By the way, LaTeXit is free. I am not sure, but I think one has to have a tex installation for it to work (which of course is free too).

I don't have Parallels, but I have used VirtualBox in the past and it supports sharing the clipboard between host OS and guest OS. The question would be if an application on one side can understand whatever some other application on the other side placed on the clipboard. Text is easy, other clipboard content may not be. So if, say, MathType puts a formula in the clipboard some mac application would have to understand that. Probably not going to happen.
