How do I get my Apple TV to play a photo album on my iPad, which includes videos. Pictures show, but not videos

I Took many photos and videos on my iPhone. I now transferred them to my Mac Pro. I then did some editing and put ones I wanted in an album. I then transferred the album to my iPad, so I could mirror on tv. I turned on Apple TV, and the picture slideshow worked fine, but will not play the videos. When it comes to a video, slideshow stops. I have to then pass the video, and the pictures will continue. Any suggestions?
