Weird MacBook Air Screen Issue
Hello All,
I have had this weird issue for a while now on two different MBAs several years appart and haven't been able to figure out what may be causing it. I don't really know how to describe it. Its like the Apple on the cover is affecting the picture or pixels of the LCD screen and you see an Apple silhouette. Its easier to see on lighter screens. Its not burn-in in the traditional sense of seeing what would have been left on the screen too long and its not light shining through the Apple logo on the cover.
Fortunately the device is still under warranty and Apple is going to take care of it. However, this is the second time I've seen this. The two devices were used by the same person about 3-4 years apart. I'm trying to figure out if it may be an environmental issue on the teacher's part or if there is something going on with Apple's displays and this teacher is just unlucky.
I've checked out where the teacher keeps the MacBook stored to see if there were any magnets or if it was being compressed but it does't look like it. To cover my bases I have also reset the SMC and NVRAM, reinstalled the OS, ran a "pixel activator" where it runs though a bunch of colors for a while to try to reset the pixels.
Any thoughts, ideas, or help with this would be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Jack
