Importing TIFF onto iPhone

Hello,

I've been searching the community for an answer but unable to find one yet. There are lots of questions and solutions to importing TIFF from iPhone to Mac, but not the other way around. I shoot mostly with the app ProCamera in TIFF, and I have to issues editing the photo and exporting to Photos on the iPhone. However, recently I had a very difficult photo to edit and I needed to export it onto my Mac to edit in Photoshop. After I finish my editing, I wish to put the new TIFF file back onto the iPhone. I used iTunes to sync my photos folders... and it seems like the TIFF gets automatically converted back to JPG. Is there anyway to stop that from happening? What am I doing wrong?

Thanks in advance.

MK.

Hi MK,

It’s great to hear from a ProCamera user :-)

Since you’re working with a Mac and an iPhone; have you tried using AirDrop for the purpose of saving the TIFF on your iPhone? In a quick test (capturing the TIFF file, sharing to a Mac, sending back to an iPhone using AirDrop) this proved helpful for us.

Hope this helps, if you ever run into specific questions regarding ProCamera feel free to contact us through the in-app support option.

Best regards on behalf of ProCamera,

Lindy
