Why is there no 'Save as...' option on apple numbers

The following screen shot was from Number 4.0.5 while holding the "Option" key, you can clearly see the "Save As..." File menu entry

As I said this is Numbers version 4.0.5

NOTE: This is the behavior for most apps that follow the Apple interface guide lines, and/or use standard Apple frameworks that provide some of the app infrastructure. That is to say, if the app does not have a "Save As...", you can generally hold the "Option" key and get a "Save As..." menu entry.

Anyway, why don't they just do away with the numbers duplicate/rename/move/get confused and upset system and go for good old 'Save as...'

Mac OS X 10.4.9 is that OS X Lion? I can't remember the version numbers 😕.

In Numbers (and all apps after OS X Lion) when you go to Menu > File hold down the option (alt) key to see 'Duplicate' change to 'Save As...'

Please reply and confirm details of your current operating system and your current version of Numbers.

There is no way to change the behavior of Numbers. And I do not feel the same way, I just choose to avoid using Numbers which works as a method very well.
