airport time capsule won't back up

Recently got a new MacBook Pro, having issues connecting to my airport time capsule to back up after having no issues initially.

Getting the error message: "The backup disk image “/Volumes/Data/Andrew’s MacBook Pro 1.sparsebundle” could not be accessed (error 21)."

Tried removing the disk and then reselecting it, no luck.

MacBook Pro (15-inch, Late 2016), macOS Sierra (10.12.3)

Okay so after speaking with several people on the phone, disabling fire vault and creating guest accounts the problem was with my initial backup file for this new MacBook. When the time capsule was trying to get to that file to update the backup that caused the error. So we

1. Disconnected from the airport time capsule in finder

2. Selected back up now in time machine preferences to create a new back up file.

Everything seems to be going along smoothly now. When this is finished ill go back and delete that old backup from the time machine
