How to remove a table border in Numbers?

After using Microsoft Office forever, now that I'm retired I would like to convert my several hundred Office files to iWork files, as most of them are very simple. Even though iWork is not complex, it still has a learning curve after a lifetime of using Microsoft Office, and one thing I can't figure out how to do is remove a border around a table. This is shown in the image below.

Hi Larry!

Based on what you've pasted here, you'll want to select the table (make sure it's not an individual cell or column/row). To do this, click on the circle on the top left hand side as though you're going to move the table, but no need to drag it anywhere.

Then go to inspector on the right, and choose "table". Below you will find the option to have a border. You'll see a line in the drop down menu. Click it, and right above you'll see "No border."

I'm not near a computer or I would provide screenshots. Let me know if this helps.

Best,

Paul

No screenshots needed, your answer was easy to understand...and worked just fine. I still haven't convinced myself I want to convert all my Office documents to iWork documents, but it would make my digital life a lot easier and save me $120/year for Office 365. Pages & Numbers may be simpler than their Office counterparts, but little things like this seem to just evade me at times. As a retired geek I should have seen this, but just couldn't. Thanks for your help!

Glad I could help!

If you'd like advice or guidance as to potential pain points to look out for when converting from Excel to Numbers, and how to circumvent them proactively...

Start a new post and provide a detailed description as to how the data is formatted, the goal of those spreadsheets, and what you hope to accomplish with them now.

I'd be happy to contribute. :-)

Best,

Paul

I'll do that, Paul, as soon as I can figure out the best way to post it so as to have similar guidance for all three iWork apps. I don't want to post the same question in all three discussion areas (Pages, Numbers, and Keynote), and I'm thinking much of the guidance is similar. I was simply going to open each file with the appropriate iWork counterpart, create the file, and store it in iCloud Drive.
