Hello,
When I download a movie or file on my iPhone 7Plus where does the download go?
Well if I download a movie to watch on the iphone where does the cache file go? Takes up hard space right? Or is it pulling from the home iTunes only to prevent hard space use on a remote device?

iOS clears cache as required.

Into your iPhone's storage.
Do not think of the iPhone as a file- and folder-oriented device like a computer. Thinking like that will lead you astray.
Instead, tell us more specifically what you're trying to accomplish. Think in terms of apps, not files.
It depends on the file. Movies generally go to the new TV App (used to be called Videos) or the Photos App. Other files normally ask you where to place the file, i.e. a Word or Pages file would ask you if you want to open it with Pages, a PDF in iBooks or a dedicated app like Adobe File Reader, etc. How are you receiving these files? Try sending one and see what it asks.

It goes to the TV App as I mentioned above.
I see, Thank you.
