Can Apple Watch understand two languages simultaneously?

I am traveling to France and I have been trying out several language and translation apps. I have seen one on the phone of another brand that can be set to understand and translate English to French and French to English automatically without having to go into Settings and change the language. Is that possible with an Apple Watch?

I don't need it to do everything, but I would like it to understand my English and translate to French in the same app where I can have someone speak in French and translate it to English.

The answer seems to be unclear in my initial online searches.
