Issue pasting hyperlink into powerpoint

Hello,

I have a Mac running Sierra version 10.12.3.

I'm fairly new with Mac so please excuse me for my ignorance.

I have a PowerPoint presentation that I've been working on, online through Office 360 onedrive.

For some reason I can't seem to paste the website link I need or any link for that matter into the powerpoint. I can copy and paste into word and everything else, but won't allow it in PowerPoint. I've tried the command C and command V to paste but nothing shows up. I've tried the "insert hyperlink" as well but it won't let me past. Really don't want to have to "type" it all into the box one character at a time...

I've even tried to save a copy of that presentation onto desktop but the 360 online won't download it. Is it because I don't have PowerPoint on computer itself?

Really hope some could point me in the right direction.
