Printer Stopped 'Filter' Failed

Suddenly started getting "Stopped - 'Filter' failed" when attempting to print. Tried repeated Printer System Resets. Worked once, then stopped working again. Never had this issue before.

Printer: EPSON Workforce 630

Computer: Late 2013 Macbook Pro

OSX: 10.11.6

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X El Capitan (10.11.6)

Upgraded from OS X 10.7.5 to 10.11

All printers when asked to print will report 'filter' failed.

Been working on this now for three hours. This one is a challenge. Tried dozens of suggestions.

Try deleting the printer, restart, and add it back.
