Trouble with Exporting garage band projects

Im working with garage band on my iPad. I've chosen to send in the "project" format, so my friend can edit the project.

in the picture below you can see that the project is saved in the .band format, but it is not selectable.

When connecting the iPad to my pc, this is how iTunes views the songs on my iPad. It has no problem with the .m4a format. But it shows the saved project format as a folder.

When I save the project to my desktop it saves as a folder with these contents inside of the folder, none of which open a garage band session.

In all the videos I've seen, it shows the project being saved with the garage band logo that is clickable and will open the session, Any ideas? Thank you.

Thank you for the reply. I copied the folder and droped it into itunes. However it was not accessible from the plus sign in garage band. The only place it showed up was in the audio file section, and it was unselectable again. "My song.band-copy"

Ok, I've just had a go at sending a file to iTunes, renaming it, copying it back into iTunes, and then opening it with GarageBand. What worked was the following:

From the My Songs view tap Select > Project > Actions icon > iTunes > Project
Connect the device to iTunes
From the iTunes File Sharing area select GarageBand, then the project, and use the Save to... button to copy to local drive (drag & drop works for single files, but not folders)
Copy project folder and rename it (it could as easily have been zipped and emailed to another party)
Drag the new .band folder into the file sharing area for GarageBand (this time drag & drop works, and it isn't possible to add a folder with the Add File... button).
In GarageBand for iOS tap + then Copy from iTunes File Sharing and select the new/updated/renamed project.

Sorry for the blind alley.

I Downloaded the funbox program and got the same results. The problem doesnt seem to be accessing the file, it begins when the file is initially saved. For some reason it is being saved in a folder broken down into a number of different files. Where as normally it is saved as a single file.

Needs to end in .band, so rename as My Song - Copy.band. You can rename in the iTunes File Sharing area.

Seemed to work when I tried it on my computer, I sent the compressed folder to my friend and waiting to see if it will work for him. Thank you for all the help!
