How can I Backup Gmail Accounts?

Hello Folks,

I have multiple Gmail Accounts (around 7 of them), I operate them daily as I receive emails for queries. I run support/solution providing firm. My email accounts are running out of space, every time new emails arrive, I receive the message that I have no space. I have to delete past emails in order to view the new ones. I am looking for a solution to backup all my emails so that in future if I need them I can recover them back when I need them. I am looking for a quick solution not those manual ones in order to save time.

Thanks

MacBook Pro with Retina display, iOS 10.1.1

You can download third-party apps like Apple mail, Thunderbird or Outlook for mac, and link your accounts with these apps. Please note that your accounts should be IMAP enabled, then only your email will be downloaded automatically.

You can also go for another third party app that is capable of backing up Gmail directly, Mail Backup X (http://mac.softpedia.com/get/Utilities/Mail-Backup-X.shtml)

Have a look. I hope this helps.

What email clients are you using? I'm not sure where you are running out of space. Is it on your computers or is gmail running out of space on it's server [ your allocation is used up ]?

Seems like the default allocation is 15g. I'd think you computer would handle this but I do not know. Perhaps an iDevice would not.

Going to this site will tell you how space you are using with Google. You could buy more space.

https://www.google.com/settings/storage

"Gmail: Messages people send to you will be returned to them." Since your getting an error message this indicates the size limit is on your machine. What email client are you using?

Here is some info on limits

You might want to consider asking over in Google land.

This might be more work than you want, but...

1) do a clone of your harddrive. Read the link the prior poster gave.

2) most email clients let you export your email.

3) You could login to your account from a web browser.

4) Hire a consultant.
