Keynote: Create a timer along with Magic Move

Below is a slider where the left and right handles are draggable. I used Magic Move to transition the positioning of the handles.

Now I want to have the number in the 'Length: X seconds' to increase / decrease as I vary the length between the left and right handles. I tried to apply an Action to the number itself but the animation doesn't sync with the transition.

Any idea how I can accomplish it?

The slider is a set of animated objects with the following components:

  1. The ruler in the background
  2. The handles on the left and right end
  3. The grey rectangle that is between the left and right end (this is the selected portion).
  4. The 'length' counter

The space between two long white lines is equal to 5 seconds. In this example, the selected portion is 30 seconds.

My goal is to have the counter reflects the length of the selected portion when the handle is animated. For example, if I move the left handle '5-lines' to the left, the counter should show 35 seconds.
