Yellow edges around Apple Watch screen!

My stainless steel Apple Watch gen 1 developed a yellowish-brown boarder around the screen edges! It is only slightly over one year old. I read that some people were having this problem for their iPhones but I haven't seen anyone complaining about their watch. Anyone else have this problem? Any fixes for this?

I have the same issue with my Aluminum Generation 1 Apple Watch, but mine is more reddish brown. I called support and was told that it is probably a water issue and these first generation watches are not water resistant like Gen 2 and 3. Not even in a shower, although I do recall Tim Cook mentioning that he took showers with his Gen 1 watch. They offered me a replacement for $199 which I declined as I could find one for less on sale. It's a bummer as I love using it and hopefully the bleeding doesn't get worse around the edges as I was planning on using this watch for years to come. Did you ever look into it and what was the resolution from Apple?
