Macbook Pro CPU Usage Problems

I recently suddenly had a massive spike in CPU usage by otherwise minor programmes. It suddenly happened following a Macbook restart due to some frozen programmes, and now my fan is working overtime even though I have no programmes open. Following picture of my Activity Monitor;

These programmes frequently use 15-40% CPU at any given time, causing my fan to run like crazy. I have tried deleting the following and restarting, with no change;

com.apple.dock.plist

com.apple.finder.plist

com.apple.loginwindow.plist

Can anyone shed light on this issue and help me please? Thank you.

MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Mid 2014), iOS 10.1.1

Try resetting the SMC http://support.apple.com/kb/ht3964

hi, I have this problem as well, and the top right corner of my macbook is extremely hot (around 60 Degree Celcius). The CPU usage between 30 to 45% without any apps running, I tried to install Anti-malware software (free) from MalwareBytes and just a single scan the CPU usage drop to 5% and my fan reduce to 1297 RPM almost instantly.

Yes, those are signs of a VSearch infection. Malwarebytes should remove that.

Get rid of Dr, Cleaner. So called 'performance' applications do not deliver what they promise and can corrupt your Mac.
