i have to approve my approve my phone from another device while signed into icloud, how do i do it
You need another trusted device which is signed into iCloud using the same Apple ID. You can check at the link below.

You really aren't answering the question.
Upon upgrading the iPhone, you are asked to "approve it". I logged onto my Macbook and approved it. For whatever reason, even though I approved it, the iPhone does not think it was approved. Why that happened is one issue, but the bigger issue is that there are now constant reminders of needing approval on the iPhone, but there is absolutely no way of regenerating the approval request. I see my devices, they say I am logged in, but there is nothing from the appleid.apple.com or SystemPreferences or similar to show the approval state.
More specifically, on iPhone:
I do this:
1. Go to Settings -> "Update Apple ID Settings"
2. Enter password
3. Enter passcode
4. Receive instructions: "Approve This iPhone. Go to one of your other devices signed in to iCloud to approve this iPhone."
5. See spinning wheel and "Waiting for Approval"
I am on my Macbook and do not receive approval request (because I did it once already presumably, but it never registered).
It is not in Notifications.
It is not in System Preferences -> iCloud -> Manage Devices

It gives me the option to reset protected data, but then I receive the warning that all of my settings will be deleted in iCloud which is NOT what I want.
In my settings, it indicates that my device (macbook Pro) is already authorized. However, I continue to get "authorize this mac" when I am working on it.
I have two-factor running, but this has been a problem before that.
Can anyone help?

Apple Support by e-mail or chat Select your device, Battery, Power and Charging, then Power adapter not working to get a chat option. If you need to talk to them, ask them if they will do a Skype or FaceTime with you.
I just updated the new IOS and stuck at point 5 spinning wheel " waiting for approval".....my son who is quite an expert tried all stuff......i also thereafter removed my iphone from other trusted device ( my PC) ....relogged the iphone back as a device.....still for two stage security set up on iphone the stage 5 is reached again with the spinning wheels !!
Any closure on how to resolve above ?

Thanks for the response. The Mac instructions do not work. The key line is:
If your device is online, click Password & Security > Get Verification Code.
There is not way "Password & Security". There is "Security", but it does not have "Get Verificaition Code".
I am having the same issue.. I keep getting notifications on my phone saying that I need to approve my new iPhone from another device, however there are no prompts on my other devices with an approval code. This is extremely annoying. Please help!
