uhmmm where is my calculator on my iPad

I'm just missing it right, cause if I bought an iPad and it doesn't come with a pre installed calculator like my iPhone has than it's more useless than I thought and I regret buying it. Someone said they didn't add it because it's simple everyday math? Uhmmm I don't care how simple math is to add I use my calculator a lot for everyday use so I don't have to add in my head. An iPad not having this calculator really bothers me because you want me to download an app third party and no... my I pad should have it. iPad has Tips and podcasts that are useless. A calculator is a must on any mobile device let alone computer or laptop. I don't care you can download one I don't want to I like my iPhone calculator. So figure it because you just lost a iPad user.

Apple never developed a calculator app for iPads that Steve Jobs liked or was satisfied with.

Jobs wanted the calculator to be a special item on iPads and some reason the software design team just never came through on this.

So, Apple never released a calculator for iOS for iPads.

I believe if Mr. Jobs was still alive, we would have had an iPad calculator by now.

Apple has been promising this for years, since, but has never come through with this promise in seven years!

The iPad calculator app doesn't seem to be a very big priority for them any longer.

There are plenty of third party calculators that look great on an iPad.

Some are free with or without ads.

There is no weather or stock app on the iPad, either you know.

Plenty of great third party weather and stock apps out there that take advantage of iPad's larger screen.

Again, some free with or without ads.

If having no stock iPad calculator app is a BIG dealbreaker for you, you can return your iPad and get a Google Android or Microsoft Surface tablet, instead.

This is a very old observation and I think that since there are so many great third party calculator apps for iPad, over the past seven years, that Apple has just decided to NOT include a calculator for iPads on iOS, any longer.

It is what it is.

This is a very old conversation that doesn't change the facts.

Tell Apple…

There are some great calculators on the store or you can return it if you don't think it is fit for purpose, you should have 14 days from time of purchase to return or you will have to explain why if you return outside of that period.

Regardless of what you think it should have, it doesn't have a calculator. Yes, Apple does expect you to customize your device by downloading the apps that meet your needs. The next time you spend close to $1000 on a device, you should make sure that it meets your needs first. iPads hold their value very well so, if you're beyond the 14 day return window, you should be able to sell if for a tidy sum.

If all you needed was a calculator then the Dollar store sells them for a buck. I know people who do not have one on their iPads so clearly not everyone requires or even wishes one on their iPad. I also know many people who do use the podcast app regularly to, as you might imagine, listen to podcasts. Personal preferences and opinions are not requirements for all.

Seriously, how difficult is it to open the App Store, type "calculator" in the search box, and download one of the dozens available (many for free)?

For what it's worth the two calculators I use and reccommend, for iPad (or iPhone as each is vastly superior to the iOS iPhone calculator - not sure if CrowdCafe makes an iPhone version though, PCalc is a universal app) are

Calculator HD for iPad by CrowdCafé

PCalc - The Best Calculator by TLA Systems Ltd.

You know I'm with you, Mssashlee. It's purely principle at this point. Don't always need it, but when I do, I want it on my Ipad. And no thanks for $900, I'm not carrying around a calculator from the dollar store. I'll download one, but your right, shouldn't have too.
