epson xp-830 goes off line

My Epson XP-830 Printer disconnects from the wifi network after printing. To re-establish connection it is necessary to power-cycle the device. I'm running Sierra, the latest version of everything. iMac 27", retina 5K, Late 2014 model. I had similar problems with an HP 6800 printer suggesting it may not be a printer problem.
